The top 20 vendors (3 bulls or more) achieved outstanding averages at the 2022 Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale in October.
The 2022 averages leader board topped at a record breaking $73,250 for eight red poll sires from Joseph and Felicity Streeter’s Fairy Springs prefix at Taroom.
The Streeters’ team was led by the two sale-topping sires, Fairy Springs Royal Flush 6123 (PP) and Fairy Springs Capitalist 6179 (PP). Both sold for $200,000 to Jomanda and Ooline in partnership and the Rockley and Elmo Brahmans Partnership respectively.
Second on the averages board was a draft of nine red poll Rockley sires, selling for an average $56,888.
Rockley Esteban (PP) led Ashley Kirk’s team, selling to Joseph and Felicit y Streeter, Fair y Springs Brahmans for $180,000.
In third place on the averages board was Mitch and Sophie Kirk’s Carinya J prefix with three grey sires making an average $50,333 and topping at $130,000 for Carinya J Ladbroke-It (H).
The depth of quality presented at this year’s sale is again evident on the averages leader board with Carinya and Kandoona prefixes offering large drafts of 15 or more.
The Top 20 averages are calculated on individual stud prefixes/individual vendors (not combining family totals) and only studs with sales of three or more registered bulls are included. Prices have been averaged up to the nearest dollar. The colour listed is the colour of the top priced animal from that vendor.
