A balance of phenotype (a visually appealing animal) and genotype (a highly measured animal) removes the guess work out for our clients.
Our passion for these magnificent animals is reflected in the quality of our breeding program, which combines the best genetics, nutrition, and care to produce healthy, strong and beautiful red Brahmans that excel in any environment and go on to meet any market requirements.
Our animals are assessed against seven elite breeding attributes and our elite weaner grading system and this enables us to select the finest red Brahmans with excellent genetics that meet our clients’ requirements. We value data collection and are strong believers in BREEDPLAN.
We sell semen from our outstanding sires in both national and international markets, offering cost effective and quick genetic gain for our clients.

Established in the mid-fifties by late beef producer Arnie Kirk, Rockley Brahmans stretches across three properties in Central Queensland. Cedars covers 571 hectares located just south of Banana, while Rockley in Bajool and Ungarra west of Moura each comprise more than 2,500 hectares. We also run a commercial European Union (EU) accredited herd.
Today Chris Kirk and his son Ashley manage Rockley Brahmans. Ashley has travelled extensively to gain invaluable insights from premium beef cattle producers across the country and internationally.
His ingenuity and professionalism led Ashley to be selected as one of only nine young Australians to participate in the 2015 Graeme Acton Beef Connections Mentor Program. He was also awarded an Australian Beef Industry Foundation (ABIF) 2013 Scholarship to take part in the Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program.
