We are very pleased to report that our two elite bulls sold to first-time buyers of Rockley genetics.
Rockley Howden sold to Mogul Brahmans for $12,000 at good value for money. We thank Glen Pfeffer for selecting the 19-month-old and we wish Dr George Jacobs all the best with his purchase.
Rockley Albania was knocked down for $5,000 and will make his home at Greenlake Station, Rossmoya. A sincere thank you to buyer Mark Davie. We are confident this bull will fulfil his intended role in adding a strong female Brahman base to your commercial weaning breeding operation.
Thank you to all our supporters, family and friends. The Brahman breed is truly amazing. Overall at RBWS 2017, 844 bulls averaged $9,190, with a 94% clearance rate. One interesting fact: only about 25% of red Brahman vendors sold bulls to meet the sale average.
We were ecstatic to return to Ungarra after Brahman Week to measure 105 mm of rain, which brings our total rainfall for October to 165 mm, just beautiful. We have sure waited for our turn and are now enjoying watching the green grass grow.
Our immediate focus on the cattle side now shifts to a terrific line of 17 bulls destined for the Big Country Sale in 2018 – and we’ll be posting information about them shortly.
