New bull on the block

Bungoona Moses (PP) is the new bull on the block here at Rockley Brahmans and he’s already been put to work.

After losing Fairy Springs Capitalist (PP) – purchased for $200,000 RBWS 2022) we at Elm-Roc Brahman Stud began the search for a bull with the same qualities to replace him.

The new bull needed to be polled with a good wide head, hooded eye and broad muzzle.

“We wanted a bull with good neck extension and a good size hump to sit squarely above his front legs extending to a broad backline. He had to have a very tidy sheath at a perfect 45-degree angle. He needed to have a deep long thick body with depth through the flank and a good long tail with a brush touching the ground and a good scrotal circumference,” Allan Trail, Elmo Brahmans said.

Bungoona Moses provides these traits and so much more including strong bone with good hind leg setting yet carrying plenty of fleshing and loose skin. But, above all, he had to have an exemplary temperament.

“We also wanted a bull from a proven dam line with a record of calving and raising a calf each year thus ensuring longevity in the sire and his progeny. Moses ticks all these boxes and we believe will grow into a very complete sire.”

Bungoona Moses (PP) is being joined with both Rockley and Elmo heifers and we very much look forward to his progeny.

Thank you to Brett and Jane Kinnon for the opportunity to purchase Bungoona Moses (PP) privately for $60,000. Moses was destined to be a keeper bull at Bungoona Brahmans.

Moses has big shoes to fill but has ticked all the boxes we required and, best of all, his temperament is impeccable – he’s already been put to work.

“We believe he will grow into a very complete sire.” Ashley Kirk, Rockley Brahmans.

Moses was destined to be a keeper bull at Bungoona Brahmans but thanks to the Kinnon family he was purchased privately for $60,000 and will remain here with us at Rockley Brahmans.
