Rockley Brahmans enjoyed huge success at the 25th anniversary Big Country Brahman Sale. In what we had judged to be our biggest and best line up to date, our 12 bulls achieved a sensational average of $14,541, well above the red section average of $9,209 and the second highest red section average at this year’s sale.

We would like to say thank you to buyers, bidders, McCaffrey’s, Geaney’s and all those involved to make this year’s sale such a great success, both in terms of our results and how much we enjoyed the event socially.
Once again, particular interest was shown in our lead polled bulls, described by numerous cattlemen and women as a very consistent and even line of bulls. Special mention was made of the bulls’ strong conformation, their quiet temperament and evenness in physical appearance.
This year’s sale highlighted the genetic strength of our donor female star, Rockley Trinadine. 2018 is the second year in a row that a son of Trinadine – Rockley Phelps (P) (pictured) – has topped our draft. The 7 sons of Trinadine sold at auction to date have averaged $21,857. We look forward to offering new progeny out of this consistent breeder of elite animals.
Highlights for Rockley included the sale of the equal-second top price bull in the red section, Rockley Phelps (P), who sold for $40,000 to Lornevale and Roseglen Partnership, Georgetown, QLD.
Our second top priced bull, Rockley Caslick (P), sold for $32,000 to Rosetta Station, Collinsville, QLD. Thanks for your continued support, Gavin and Dillon Scott!
We are happy our 12 bulls have gone to great homes, many with new buyers who we are pleased have invested in our cattle. We are committed to providing elite red bulls to Northern Australia and look forward to bringing another quality line of bulls to Big Country 2019.
