The all-round performance of our donor females is continually improving. With a quality young female herd at our disposal, we can insist that Rockley donors adhere to our long-term breeding objectives.
The aim of our donor selection is to deliver you predictable genetics from these quality female lines, and we use both visual appraisal and BREEDPLAN to achieve this. After more than 60 years of successfully breeding elite red Brahmans, we have every confidence in the uniform, balanced, visually appealing and consistent line of elite females that are easily identifiable as ‘the Rockley type’.
As we continue to search for elite females within our herd, our key focus will be fertility pressure to help us identify our most productive breeders and cull non-performers. Our emphasis on 7 elite breeding attributes and a continued attention on improved EBV accuracies and polled genetics will remain strong.
